BACIP Prizes for Poster and Oral Presentations.

 

The Bacillus Industrial Platform (BACIP) is proud to announce the funding of three prizes at the 5th International Conference on Gram-positive Microorganisms, to be held June 14-18, 2009 in San Diego, CA, USA. In order to encourage young scientists to share and publish their work, BACIP has decided to repeat the well received “Young scientist award” from the previous meeting. Two outstanding poster presentations and one oral presentation made by a student or postdoctoral fellow will be recognized.

BACIP organization consists of a group of industrial companies supporting scientific research on Gram-positive microorganisms. The current members are: Novozymes, Genencor/Danisco, DSM, Henkel, Roal Oy, AB Enzymes and Nobel Bioproducts.

 

The prizes
The two poster prize winners will be awarded $400 each while the oral presentation winner will be awarded $700.The announcement of the winners will be made at the end of the conference.

 

Rules of participation
Only master or Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows presenting their work will be evaluated for this competition. Please notify the organizers whether the presenter qualifies at the time of registration and abstract submission.

 

Prize committee
Posters and talks will be evaluated by an elected committee from industry and academic institutes.
